Guitar Virtuoso Santana to Returns to Tampa July 31

April 12th, 2010 Posted in Concerts

It has been four years since rock legend and guitar great Carlos Santana was seen performing in Tampa. And now, he is back together with his eponymous band and British rock act, Steve Winwood to open the show.

Catch Carlos Santana once again in Tampa, FL as he performs his greatest hits, from 1969 to present, in a one night performance at the Ford Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 31 at 7:30 PM.

Tickets go on sale to the public on April 16, Friday at 10 AM through Ticketmaster. Citi cardholders can snag presale tickets starting on April 14, Wednesday at 10 AM. Tickets cost between $19.50 (lawn area) to $119.50 (floor level). Since the event will take place in an open area, please take note that the show will push through, rain or shine.

This event marks Santana’s last stop before he finally concludes his summer tour with Steve Winwood with a show in West Palm Beach, FL, a day after the concert in Tampa.

Santana’s current release, “Supernatural: Legacy Edition” contains digitally re-mastered “Supernatural” tracks and unreleased acoustic tracks which features covers of Bob Marley hits “Exodus” and “Get Up Stand Up”, and a collaboration with another music legend, Eric Clapton.
